Shine the Light – Men’s Mental Health Evening
Date: Wednesday, 19 October, 2016
Time: 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Venue: Ballina Island Motor Inn | Corner of Ronan Place and River St, West Ballina
Join us for an informative evening
Many men in our community live with mental health related issues. Some quite complex, others not so. The intent of the evening is to gather as a community and shine the light on some of the realities associated with men’s mental health challenges. This may be personal to yourself, a colleague, staff member, loved one or perhaps out of curiosity.
Attendance for all, inclusive of men and women, lived experience or the desire to support others is welcomed. An informal panel discussion will take place, with the opportunity for Q & A’s, plus key note speaker Daniel Caster from Beyond Blue will share his journey.
How the event came to be
Jared Moss is a young man who has experienced challenges in his life related to his mental wellbeing. Inspired by his experience and his desire to support other men in our community who also face these realities, Jared approached FSG to support him in creating an evening dedicated to “shining the light” on mental health related challenges. FSG embraced Jared’s vision and is delighted to deliver an evening to align with Jared’s vision.
